Newly Hired

You have 30 days from your date of hire to enroll in coverage for medical/prescription drug, dental, vision, LTD, life insurance, long-term care insurance and reimbursement account benefits. An enrollment worksheet will be mailed to your home within 2 weeks of your hire date, but you will be able to complete your enrollment online at prior to receiving that worksheet. Due to system processing times, your online enrollment event is usually available within your first week of hire.

Once you log-in at and confirm your elections you have until midnight ET that day to change your elections. After that time you will not be able to make any changes to your elections unless you have a qualified family status change or until the next annual enrollment.

Follow these steps to enroll in coverage:

  1. Gather necessary information:
    • Your social security number and the social security numbers of any family members you wish to add.
    • Your date of birth and the date of birth for any family members you wish to add.
    • If you are adding a domestic partner to coverage, you will need the required supporting documentation. 
  2. Visit to add your eligible family members to coverage. If you are married you must add your spouse to your benefit record – EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT ADDING YOUR SPOUSE TO COVERAGE.

Supporting documentation is required. Your Marriage Certificate or Domestic Partner Affidavit and Supporting Documents, must be submitted to Alight in order to complete the dependent verification process.

If you do not enroll in benefits within the 30 days of your date of hire, you will not have medical, dental, or vision coverage; you will receive 60% LTD coverage; and you will receive basic life insurance coverage of 2x your annual base pay.
