Long Term Disability

Basic LTD benefits are equal to 60% of eligible, base pay. You have the option to increase your coverage to 70% of eligible, base pay.  LTD Benefits are administered by The Hartford. You pay the cost to provide the additional 10% of coverage through pre-tax payroll deductions. The exact contribution for additional coverage is based on your age and base pay as of January 1 or your mid-year hire date.

Your LTD benefits coordinate with benefits provided by other sources such as Social Security Disability Income and Workers Compensation.  Your LTD benefits are reduced by the amount you receive from these other entities.
